I can give you 10 damn excuses people have against donating their blood. Some say they don’t like needles or they are afraid but if you take the time and a little courage to make one donation, you’ll wonder why you ever hesitated. Most common excuses people give- I am too busy. The process may take around half an hour or more but remember, you are making time to give the gift of life.

Next, we have people who plainly don’t know about blood donation. They’ll say :”No one ever asked me…I didn’t realize my blood is needed” Now, consider yourself asked. Moreover, we have some who reply :”I already donate this year!” You can donate every three months. Many donors donate up to 4 times a year.

Astonishingly, some are afraid to they make get AIDS by donating blood. It is highly impossible to get AIDS or HIV by donating blood because the hospital uses new sterile needle an discard it after usage. My blood isn’t the right type? Come on , any type of blood is needed.

Some say they have no blood to spare. How can that be? Your healthy body replaces the blood you donate. The donation will not weaken you too. The blood you donate will be replaced within 24 hours by your healthy body. It is also discovered that males who donate blood have better blood. By donating blood, the body can produce new blood cells. Unlike the ladies who have menstruation to get rid of some “bad” blood.

Also , there is no reason why we don’t need your blood. You blood is very much needed. Some said this too:”I have rare blood cells, I’ll wait until there is special need” If you have rare blood cells, they are needed because they are always short in supply.

Going on with the top 10 reasons you should donate blood. One of the reasons is free food and drinks. You can also burn up to 650 calories by donating one pint of blood. It can greatly reduce your cholesterol level too.

The blood donation is simply easy and convenient as we have professionals from the hospital nearby. Blood- is something you can spare.

Other than that, nobody can ask you to do heavy work such as lifting. Your bandage is your badge of honor. You will walk a little taller- feeling good about yourself. I’ve done a good deed today!

You will contribute and ensure that blood is there for those who need them. It is something you can do equal footing with both rich and famous. Blood is truly something money can’t buy.

Thusfar, you are going to be someone hero- you may give a newborn , a child , a mother or a father , a sister or brother another chance at life. You may even save up to 3 lives with just one donation.

Lastly , I end with the number one reason you should donate blood–

It’s the right thing to do.

Every two seconds, someone out there needs blood. Now , that’s a lot of blood. But only a small number of eligible Malaysian population donates blood in any given year. As the matter of fact, healthy donors are the only source of blood. Currently there is no substitute. Don’t go thinking about cloning or manufacturing blood cells, that’s some science fiction book’s melodrama.

Blood is needed for emergencies and for people who have cancer, blood disorders, sickle cell, anemia and other illnesses. Some may even need regular blood transfusions to live. Where do you think those blood in hospital are from? There are from gold hearted donors.

The blood donated will go to the hospital, to the people who needs blood, and maybe to the people you know, the people you care or the people you love.

When you give blood , you give life. The work of saving lives truly begins with people who spare their blood to others.

Donate your blood this 1st March 2008 at SJS auditorium from 9 am till 12pm. Together, we can save lives.

Problem with classmates

Do you always talk so loud

Cause you are afraid that nobody listens ?

Do you act so ignorant

Cause you pretend nothing happen?

Do you become so arrogant

Cause you think people got your back?

Do you always boast

Cause you think you are great in everyway?

Problems with friends

Do you always talk so much

Cause you want to acknowledge people about your entire life?

Do you always think so much

Cause you think people around you think more of you?

Do you always do so much

Cause you think you will be appreciated?

Do you always complain

Cause you can’t find the way out?

Problems with me

Do you always so sober

Cause you think nobody wants you?

Do you always so restless

Cause people are annoying you?

Do you always cry

Cause you think hopes and dreams are far away?

Problems with guys

Do you only want me

Cause you can’t have me?

Do you only want me

Cause I am gone?

Do you only want me

Cause there is no one else?

Do you only want me

Cause I happen to be there?

Sigh.

Don’t tell anyone, ok?

Lately, I’ve got these troubling thoughts. Is it good and ethical to gossip? Yeah , sure. You can keep yourself updated about someone and knowing that person a little more closer. That’s if you are being naive and thinking too positively. We all know damn well its going to turn out ugly. People adding spices to the stories, spreading rumors , telling lies , accusing in a way that with all means become what we are unaware of, badmouthing.

Gossip is really bad when the person herself or himself started it. Well , they can’t expect us to keep it all to ourselves. It’s that feeling I get every time they tell me about their affairs with some other people. It’s like I am loaded with money but unable to spend it. If you don’t want people to know, why bother telling in the first place?

Then , there is desire. The desire to share the newly received updates about some people. You will go over to your friend and start giggling or gasping so loud until the teacher in class thought there is something that matters. It sure is interesting and fun to hear about people and their doings. Ideally , the piece of information is not concerned, its just the thrill of passing stories to one another.

However, some people took these stories to a new level. Something as simple and fun became serious and deadly. Interestingly, I did a survey about how guys and girls think about gossip. The results are that guys love to gossip more or as much as girls and that’s all there is to it. On the other hand, girls treat gossips as top secret messages from base and ready to fire missiles to whoever they think is wrong or acussable. Also , commonly known as backstabbing.

My problem is that people come to me or someone near me gossips. It becomes inevitable to not hear what they are talking about.( I can’t close my ears but I can move them) But, I don’t pick on them if they don’t want to tell me. I am just ready to hear anyone out. It annoys me when some people misunderstand me. Honestly , I like to hear stories and enjoy telling them , too. I don’t know whether I am being overboard or just moderate though. If I am sounding opinions or judging others, is that overboard?

Gossips. These news spread like fire and it burns people together with them. Then again , we are not wrong to gossip when they know it is going to get somewhere , right? Confused.
